This internship has been very beneficial for me and my future career path. I have decided that I want to continue to seek my degree at a University before committing to real estate. You don't need a degree and could jump into the real estate business right after high school, but with it being such a competitive industry I want to have something to fall back on. Studying a degree in business, will also support my knowledge in business before tackling it without no prior knowledge.

This whole experience allowed me to gain knowledge of the main categories or areas of real estate in the span of a month. With there being so much to learn in the real estate business, my internship project was broken down week-by-week. For the first week, my mentor and I focused on updating her CRM system. We transferred all her client’s information from excel sheets, paper, cell phone and notes to a CRM system called kvCORE. With this new database, she now has easy access to all her client’s information in the click of a button. The second week was focused on lead generation. So after we have all our client’s information entered in this database, what do we do next? We then set up alerts that were unique for each and every client, so they would get updates on market reports and new listings. It was a way of interacting with the client without contacting each person manually, which would be very time-consuming. In the third week, we focused on marketing strategies. This week we used social media, Craiglist, open houses, video production, squeeze pages, seminars and applications to build her business. The final week consists of directly interacting with the clients, which was a client interface. I sat in on meetings with her clients that she was going into escrow with and listened in on what was talked about in those meetings. I also got the first-hand experience on how you could capture a lead no matter where you are. Part 1:
